Ok, last Mardi Gras post! Yesterday I mentioned that Bici had a “float” in the Birmingham Mardi Gras Parade, the 1st one since 1901. The parade was actually stopped back then because it was plagued with bad weather. Funny enough, since it was stormy all day and we definitely got rained on. Rain or not, we had a blast.

There were 6 of us out there, riding and throwing beads. Alan brought his vuvuzela (a cyclocross essential) and we rocked out. There were 100′s of people out, screaming and cheering for beads. So fun!!

The Birmingham News caught a few shots of us as we passed. I was also on Fox News, getting the Bici name out there! Too bad I don’t have a TV…still haven’t seen it.
