Bike racks around the world
Bike racks are great, don’t you think? With all my travels, it’s very interesting to see all the different creative styles folks come up with for official racks (I’m not taking into account all those “unofficial” creative bike racks people everywhere are using to lock their babies up). The fancy pants artistic racks are always a pleasure to look at, and figure out how to actually utilize them. However, my favorite has to be the bike bike rack. I’ve seen them around a few places, and I always feel so happy.
I was in Lexington, KY this past weekend to play a show with my band Andy’s Tea Party and noted this rack at a coffee shop. So many happy colors!
Shout out to Princess of the bank Pink Flag, who happens to be a reader of our little blog here, and plays a mean bass with kick-ass style. Great playing with you guys; hope we can rock it again soon!
Our bike cooperative, Bici, has recently rolled out our own bike rack project – designed and manufactured locally! This is very exciting folks. Check it out over at www.bicicoop.org!

That rack is awesome. I love that it’s made out of recycled bike frames.
Hey Anna! it was great to meet you too! And getting yo play with you guys was awesome. Come to Durham! <3
Also that bike rack is amazing. We didn’t see that part of Lexington!
There are some fun ones that just got commissioned here in Nashville. My favorite is the one downtown shaped like a big padlock…but a lot of people hate that one. ???
I live right down the street from that bike rack!
