Bike!Bike! Lots of Bikeyness

By Anna | 1 Comment »

Elisa and I had a great time in Louisville this past weekend for Bike!Bike! Southeast.  We met a ton of great people, had wonderful conversations, partied hard, and rode the hell out of our bikes.  The only thing I regret was missing the fire jumping party.  I love a good fire, but it got shut down by the cops before we got there.

Some of the bike co-ops and collectives that were represented include:

Free Wheel in Louisville, KY.  They were our hosts for the weekend

Wildcat Wheels in Lexington, KY.  We stayed with some guys who help run this “bicycle library”.  So great!

Holy City in Charleston, SC.  Super nice folks and tons of fun to ride with.  They led a talk on working with your bureaucracy.  Intense.

Sopo in Atlanta, GA (duh!).  They led a talk on starting womens and trans nights at the shop, which is something we’d like to start…one day.

RUBARB in New Orleans, LA.  They spoke about working with kids, very informative!

We met a bunch of other great people from Nashville, West Virginia, New York…and some other places I can’t remember : /

Everything was hand made and super cute!
