Party bike? SUV? you decide

WHAT in the heck is an “underwater tandem?”
Steve- http://dutchbikeseattle.com/html/bikes/onderwater.html
it should have been Onderwater. corrected now!
Hmm. It’s still a pretty odd name for a bike. I must say that I found the underwater notion intriguing while it lasted. I was looking for a propeller on that bike.
‘Onder water’ indeed means ‘under water’, but regarding this bike the answer is very simple, the designer/maker of the tandem is named Ronald Onderwater.
Just a minor correction, the Velorbis Scrap Deluxe is not Dutch, but Danish. It should come with a special note
.
I like the underwater name too. Interesting beast. I still want a Gazelle tandem…anybody want to import one for me?

Great pictures and memories! You look quite fetching on Dutch (and Danish) bikes
It looks like you had a very productive visit in Chicago. We have also been eyeing the cargo bikes with visions of biking the pooches all around town. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t have a place to store it. I wonder where all these urban cargo bike owners actually keep their bikes.
