Recession hits Bike Skirt
Well folks, I just lost my job. Yeppers. It is a blessing in disguise as I was looking for change. However, it still sucks! I will be riding my bike more (thank goodness I sold my car!) and figuring out what the hell to do now. In the meantime…you should buy a Bike Skirt T Shirt.
Available in unisex s,m,l American Apparel Off white with red writing. Handscreened by yours truly. You can get there at my etsy store.
Help me Ride out the Recession and look good doing it!
Bike Love

Sorry to hear it! That said, you are in great company. Change is good. When I find a job, I will buy a Bike Skirt shirt in celebration
Oh no!
Good luck getting a new job. Any chance you’ll move for the right job?
i lost my job too a few month back. recession is tough…but i have been lucky enough to have had the summer to ride as much as my heart desired. change is good…can be scary but time on the bike helps a little perspective to clear things up.
So sorry to hear about your job loss! My company is going through a merger and announces new layoffs every couple weeks. Makes me nervous. Especially since my hubby’s job is dropping from full time to 20 hours, no benefits, next month. But at least I still have my bike.
Hey Elisa,
Sorry to hear about the loss….I think you need to update your Etsy store so we can purchase again. I says your 1 item has sold!
Paul
oh dear
but – i was ‘retired’ for 5 of the last 10 years
i certainly got a lot of bike riding in, in those years!
and i never ran out of things to put off, i mean ‘do’
wle.
I narrowly dodged the downsizing bullet recently (apparently, all those viewings of “The Matrix” DID pay off!)…and am always sorry to hear a friend get axed. But, it can be a blessing in disguise…and you don’t have to worry about all that wasteful car payment/upkeep/insurance B.S.!
I have every faith that you’ll bounce back stronger than ever, with a more engaging job that you love. Or at least tolerate.
Ok everyone-I have updated my etsy store. Sorry about that. T shirts are for sale again!
Argh! Maybe this is your opportunity to move to Atlanta? Don’t know what kind of work you do, but if you need a lead or two, maybe I can ask around on your behalf.
Good luck.
Elisa,
One door closes and another one opens. I wouldn’t
worry, people of your quality will always do well.
Enjoy some time off.
Jon
PS…. No extra large t-shirts?
Been there. Good luck.
