Rebecca Rae Update
If you’re wondering how Rebecca has been doing since her accident, here’s her latest note:

12 days out from surgery, and this is what i look like today. i still look like a scary scary monster due to the bleeding in my eyes (which is receding, very slowly but steadily). my eyes are still extremely sensitive to light, so i have to wear sunglasses while outside. my hair is already growing back noticeably since having to shave it, so hopefully in the month that scar won’t be so visible and i can look slightly more normal. the bruising on my face is getting better by the day as well, but i have no idea when it will completely disappear.
i am still unable to be left alone, as TBI (traumatic brain injury) patients have a tendency to be a little wobbly on their feet and i can’t risk a fall where i may hit my head. but since i am not able to be alone i will not be able to live in my apt for at least another week as my parents are those who have decided to keep a careful careful eye on me.
to be completely honest, i shouldn’t be walking, i shouldn’t be talking. people who have accidents like mine don’t recover this quickly, or at all. people keep asking me if i’m alright and the truth is.. i’m fine, even though it doesn’t seem i should be.
but anyway, thank you so much for your well wishes and prayers. it means a lot to me. i couldn’t ask for better friends.
