IMG_0104This is taken in Irondale, a small suburb outside the city.  It also happens to be where I work.  i took these photos on a walk down to The Whistlestop Cafe’s covered train stop, where I enjoy lunch with friends every Friday.

This just shows you a taste of our infrastructure situation.  I think I have found Where the Sidewalk Ends…

at the train stop, hoping for some awesome graffitti to pass by

Birmingham is covered with train tracks, some abandoned and some in use today.  Although they make riding more difficult at times, I truly love them.  We have incredible graffiti artists who make them beautiful and the fact that I work so close to the tracks (I often see the conductors at shift change…hanging out on the side of the tracks, bags in hand, talking) makes me happy!
