Why does it always rain on me?
First things first, if any of you know the answer to the title question (lyrically speaking, not literally), then I will forever love and respect you…
I am in Fairhope again, and remembered that I never posted pictures from my puppy killer ride. Click on the photos to enlarge!
I rode this morning downtown to get coffee and do some work. I decided to check out the library, and while I was enjoying my perusal of Bicycling magazine I was alerted that it was about to rain. Horror of horrors! I jumped on puggles and booked it back home, making it back before encountering too many drops. Thankfully I didn’t have to call on rescue this time around.

well
it rains every day along the gulf coast, in summer
[[usually about the same time]]
i don;t think it;s personal
wle.
I forgot how beautiful it is down there. I need to go visit my sister soon. too bad we couldn’t coincide our trips.
Is it because I lied when I was seventeen?
I raised that rain question this very morning.

Down here in Florida we’re used to spotty storms that can rain horses and hamsters on one side of the street while dust bunnies blow down the other.
Oh Elisa, don’t you just love Travis? But I already love and respect you!
At this time of the year, I actually look forward to getting caught in the rain…heck, I even have a “rain route” setup to avoid all those nutty motorists.
Of course, I much prefer riding in the rain on the way home, where my personal appearance makes no difference. Getting soaked on the way to work makes for a long and uncomfortable day if I don’t have a change of clothes. At this time of the year, though, I am prepared for just about anything.
Ghost Rider,
Ain’t it the truth. I like riding in a nice, steady warm rain.
Lightning, cold rain, windy, not so much.
And I hope I’m home before the rain turns to steam.
I’ve been on a couple of big group rides when it started in on an all-day rain. I love it when the weight wienies see me pulling on my rain gear and riding in comfort.
